Not an Episode: Granny-Wan's Day Out (6/9/2006)

No Ancient Jedi Wisdom today, just a movie recommendation for Cars... and ice cream advice...

I don't leave the hut very often in the summer time, except to go to the backyard pool... but today I went to see CARS with my youngest Padawan.

This movie is cuuuuuuuute! Keep in mind that it's a KIDS movie. There are plenty of jokes for to keep oldsters laughing, but the story is really just "Doc Hollywood" set on Route 66.

Padawan Jakester deemed it "hilarious" and he really loved the soundtrack.

The animation is outstanding! Too bad Pixar didn't do Clone Wars...

The animated scenery of Interstate 40 reminded me of the too many times I've traveled across it... (I've been across the continental divide so many times I don't know which direction to spit...) Pay particular attention to the red rock hills around Radiator Springs!

I recommend this if you have a youngling to take with you! Otherwise, wait for the DVD!

IMPORTANT: Don't leave before the end credits are over!!!

I also recommend seeing this in a theatre with a Cold Stone Creamery next-door... coffee ice cream with Heath Bar... mmmmmm....

May the sugar force be with you!
